Here we are looking at the middle of summer. I know how disappointed we all were when our May Sunday dinner was canceled. This COVID thing is getting old, and yet new cases are increasing at alarming rates, please be safe and those of us in Alameda County must wear masks in public places. I must gather all my fashion statement masks so that the half of my face can make a statement. The Women’s Auxiliary is meeting the third Wednesday of each month at the Club. For those of you who prefer, you may tune in on Zoom. I know I prefer to see those beautiful Italian faces in person.

We feel that our wonderful Polenta dinner chaired by Fran Bienati will now be our opening dinner. To me that is a real Italian fun night with great food and fun games. It looks like late September or early October. This is a heads up for you to start putting this fun event into your fall event planning. We will give you advance notice. It will be so good to smell the wonderful scents floating in the Club, hear Italian music and play Italian games. We need to all celebrate together again.

Well, I just picked some beautiful zucchini from my garden. At least COVID hasn’t interrupted our joy of our summer bounty. When your crop comes in plentiful, share with your neighbors. Share kind words with strangers, it can make their day better and yours also.

Auxiliary President’s Message: July 2022 1

Just a reminder, the third reading of our by-law changes will held at our meeting June 15th and we will vote on those changes at our August 17th meeting.

Che Dio ci aiuti a stare insieme presto.
