Here it is November 2020. Let us talk about how thankful we all should be. Thank God that we have not seen any friends or family suffer with this virus. I have not heard of any of our members contracting COVID. When we do get the opportunity to see people we care about (always under guidelines), we are thrilled to share laughs and love with them. Just think how wonderful it will be celebrating at the Colombo Club once more.
People are basically good and caring. This virus helps us all to think about how we can do something to make someone smile and maybe relieve some fear we all have experienced due to this sickness. Even little acts like bringing neighbors fresh fruit or vegetables from your garden. How about picking a few flowers and laying them on someone’s doorstep? Little kind thoughts and actions are wonderful deeds that can prove to be more effective than medicine.
We miss each other but let us give thanks for all our blessings. Let us look forward to a blessed, healthy, and abundant Thanksgiving. Always remember your mask and 6 feet of separation.
Christmas will be close at hand and love and cheer will abound with God’s love.
