I hope all the members that attended the 99th anniversary dinner had a much fun as we did. Great dinner, music, and dancing. I look forward to next year’s 100th anniversary.

The theme for this month’s family dinner is Hawaiian night. Come to the Club in your Aloha clothes and show off your vacation tan. This annual event is always a hit.

Hard to believe this year has gone by so quickly. Make sure you take the time to remember how blessed we are to be part of this Club. Never take it for granted. I want to thank my counterparts on the board for all they do to keep the Club running and growing at the same time, especially updating the website and the bathrooms. Non dare mai per scontato, e voglio ringraziare i miei omologhi del consiglio di amministrazione per tutto ciò che fanno per mantenere il club in funzione e in crescita allo stesso tempo. Every member needs to stop by and ask what they can do to help.

Sports have always been a big part of the Club. The A’s Italian Heritage Night was a fun night. We witnessed a fine pitching performance by Mike Fiers and the A’s won. Thanks Tony Tedeschi and Billy Castell for organizing this annual event. The Boccé Tournament in August was a great success. Thanks again to the Nardis. The annual Italian Clubs Picnic was another great success. Again, thanks to Tony Tedeschi for all of his hard work. These events bring families together which is one of the main purposes of the Club. The Golf Tournament is scheduled for October 7th. This year we will play the beautiful Sequoyah Country Club. Last year was a picturesque day overlooking the bay. Make sure you fill out the registration flyer and send it in. The golf club will not allow us to go over the sold-out number.

Next year will come quickly. We will start rolling out 100 year shirts next month. Starting in January there will be monthly items that will sell out after 100 units. Make sure you jump on board and purchase these items, and have a collection of items for many years to remember this milestone.

One item that you can reserve now is the 100th CENT ANNI BOOK. When you see Rich Puppione make sure you thank him for his steadfast work in creating and publishing this book. This will be an item that will live in your family for many years to come. Thank You Rich!!

We are now in the 100th year of the Colombo Club and it is going to be an exciting year. Our founding fathers would be proud of the success of the Club. Nostri padri fondatori sarebbero orgogliosi del successo del club.
