FREE Offstreet Parking

The Colombo Club has contracted with the State of California to use the Oakland Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) parking lot for sponsored club events. The lot is located directly across the street from the club at 5300 Claremont Blvd. There are no parking fees or validation requirements for Colombo Club members and their guests.

Under no circumstances are Colombo Club members or guests to open or consume alcoholic beverages in the DMV parking lot. Not only is this a violation of California law, it is strictly forbidden in our agreement with the California DMV. The club has not been blessed with abundant street parking and the generous use of the state’s parking lot is a privilege and not a guaranteed right.

Club members and guests are reminded to use caution and lock their vehicles while at the club. Secure valuables out of sight or simply leave them at home. Oakland Police and private security regularly patrol the parking lot during club events, however neither the Colombo Club or the State of California are responsible for any loss, damage or theft you may incur while using the lot.

Use caution when crossing busy Claremont Avenue. Despite well marked crosswalks and posted speed limits, many pedestrian involved accidents have occurred near the club. Be observant and don’t assume vehicles will stop just because you are in the crosswalk.
